Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-08-21
This policy explains what personal information TEST Golden Vitaminus Ltd, trading as Golden Vitaminus (goldenvitaminus.com), collects when you visit our website or place an order, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to this website and to our checkout, and to the emails we send you.
Who is responsible for your information
TEST Golden Vitaminus Ltd, 1 Test Street, Unit 2, London, Greater London, E1 6AN, United Kingdom. Privacy questions and requests: privacy@goldenvitaminus.com. General support: support@goldenvitaminus.com.
Categories of personal information we collect
- Identifiers and contact details: your name, email address, and phone number if you give us one.
- Delivery information: the shipping address you enter, including recipient name and any delivery instructions.
- Commercial information: the contents of your cart, the products you buy, order history, returns and refunds, and the messages you send us about an order.
- Transaction information from our payment provider: whether the payment succeeded or failed, a transaction reference, and the billing name and email associated with the payment.
- Technical and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site.
We never receive, see or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Those go directly from your browser to our payment service provider.
We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not sell sensitive personal information such as health, biometric, religious or precise location data — we do not collect it in the first place.
Why we use it
- To take, process, ship and deliver your order, and to keep you updated about it.
- To handle returns, refunds, cancellations, payment disputes and customer service enquiries.
- To keep records we are required by law to keep, including tax and customs records.
- To prevent fraud and protect our website and customers.
- To send you marketing emails, only where you have asked to receive them. Every marketing email contains a working unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
- To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it.
Categories of third parties we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the following categories of recipients, and only to the extent they need it:
- Our product supplier and fulfilment partner: CJdropshipping, located in China. They receive the recipient name, delivery address, phone number where the carrier requires one, and the items ordered, so that your parcel can be packed and shipped.
- Our payment service provider: a third-party payment processor located in the United States. Your payment details go directly to them. They handle payment processing, fraud screening and chargebacks under their own privacy policy. The provider is not the seller of your goods; we are.
- Our e-commerce platform: Shopify, which hosts our storefront.
- Shipping carriers and customs brokers, who need the delivery address to deliver the parcel and to clear it through customs.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: Cloudflare (content delivery and media storage), Neon (database hosting), Railway and Vercel (application hosting).
- Our email service provider, which sends order confirmations, shipping notifications and, if you have opted in, marketing emails.
- Professional advisers, tax authorities and law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose information.
International transfers
Because our supplier is in China and our payment provider is in the United States, your delivery details are transferred outside the United States, including to China, in order to fulfil your order. Data protection law in those countries may differ from the law of your state. We share only what is needed to pack, ship and clear your parcel.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as the law requires the record to be kept and, after that, only while a claim, an audit or a payment dispute relating to your order could still be brought, and never longer than is necessary for the purpose the data was collected for, which reflects the periods we are required to retain tax, customs and transaction records and the period in which a payment dispute can still be raised. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is kept for the period stated by the analytics provider.
Reviewing and changing your information
You can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, and to delete information we no longer need to keep. Email privacy@goldenvitaminus.com from the address on your order, or write to us at 1 Test Street, Unit 2, London, Greater London, E1 6AN, United Kingdom. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We do not charge for this and we do not treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live, your state may give you further rights, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to appeal a decision we make on your request. If you would like to exercise any such right, email privacy@goldenvitaminus.com and we will respond, whether or not the relevant statute currently applies to us.
Cookies, tracking and "Do Not Track"
We use cookies and similar technologies. The cookies we set, their purpose and their lifetime are listed here: a session cookie that keeps your cart, a consent cookie that records your cookie choices, and Shopify's own storefront cookies. Broadly they fall into three groups:
- Strictly necessary — to keep your cart, log you in and secure checkout. The site does not work without these.
- Analytics — to count visits and understand which pages are used.
- Advertising and measurement — where used, these may allow advertising partners to recognise your device across sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off without breaking checkout. We never use pre-ticked boxes to obtain consent for anything.
Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no common industry or legal standard for how a website must respond to it. Our response to DNT signals is as follows: we do not currently change what we collect in response to a browser Do Not Track signal, because there is no common standard for how it should be honoured
Global Privacy Control. Some browsers and extensions send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out signal. Our response to GPC signals is as follows: we honour it. When a browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale of your personal information and of sharing it for cross-context behavioural or targeted advertising, and we apply that opt-out to the browser or device the signal came from as soon as we receive it. We do not ask you to confirm the signal, we do not require you to create an account or verify your identity before we act on it, and we do not charge you a different price or give you a lower level of service because you sent it. If you are signed in to an account with us when the signal reaches us, we apply the opt-out to that account as well.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls limiting who on our side can see order data, and by never storing card details ourselves. No system is perfect, but we take these obligations seriously.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Our payment provider does run automated fraud screening on payments; if a payment is declined for that reason, contact support@goldenvitaminus.com and a person will look at it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top and post the revised policy at the same web address. Where the change is significant, we will also state on our home page that the policy has changed and, if you have an account or an open order, email you. Please check the effective date to see the version that applies to you.
